Pack your scissors, take a deep breath, and join us for a fun and informative 2-day Sewing Weekend, set in the peaceful surroundings of Barnham Broom
This retreat-style workshop is an opportunity to slow down and focus on learning how to draft a made-to-measure bodice pattern—one that fits your body and becomes a foundation you can return to again and again.
Over two relaxed days, you’ll be gently guided through:
Taking accurate body measurements
Drafting your own custom bodice block
Understanding the fundamentals of fit and balance
There is no rush and no pressure—just thoughtful teaching, hands-on practice, and time to absorb what you’re learning. Think sewing tables, cups of tea, “ohhh THAT makes sense” moments!
Expect a supportive and friendly atmosphere, space to ask questions, and moments to chat, laugh and unwind.
You’ll head home with a personalised bodice pattern you can use again and again—plus new skills, new confidence, and a very happy sewing brain.
You also have the option to stay at Barnham Broom with Bed and Breakfast included for an additional fee, or simply join us on a daily basis in the Kimberley Suite as a day guest. All staying attendees receive access to the health and leisure facilities (and day delegates can access this for £7.50) on the Saturday and Sunday should you wish to use them.

In the event that you cannot make the retreat for any reason, including for example, but not limited to, Covid19, unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for booking deposits. You may of course transfer your booking to another person however please do provide us with the new persons details. Do check with us as we may have someone on the waiting list who could take your place.
Whilst every care is being taken to ensure safety and security, Norwich Sewcials cannot be held liable for any for any loss or other damages including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential, or any other damages and unforeseen cancellation. We would suggest that personal/travel insurance is taken out. Attendees are responsible for the safety of their own equipment.
Norwich Sewcials reserves the right to cancel or postpone this event due to any reason beyond our control such as, but not limited to, illness or Covid-19
Participants must be over 16 years of age.
The retreat is a non-smoking venue and penalties will be incurred for smoking indoors. Smoking permitted in designated outdoor areas only.
