The second of our workshops for Norfolk Makers Festival...
Size matters when you are dressmaking. We are all so different and there’s no one size that fits all in the clothing world.
Join Pippa and Emma to learn how and where to measure to get the right body measurements for your next dressmaking project.
Learn how each measurement affects the pattern you might choose and when to adjust for the right fit.
After a demonstration, you will have the chance to get the tape measures out and get those tricky and hard to reach measurements down on paper for future reference. This will help to choose the right size when next using your patterns.
Knowing when to allow for ease and how to graduate between sizes will help your sewing no end.
We suggest you wear underwear you are happy with if you need to remove bulky clothing. Tight fitting clothing such as leggings and a fitted tee shirt is ideal. This workshop is held in a private room and in the strictest confidence.
